Referral programme terms

These terms govern the Makan Rescue launch referral programme, run by Paaci Pte Ltd ("Makan Rescue", "we"). By sharing your referral link or entering a referral code, you agree to them.

Who can take part

The programme is open to Singapore users with a Makan Rescue account. Every account gets a personal referral code and share links for friends and for food businesses. Food businesses on the merchant app also get a business-to-business invite link.

Rewards

• Friend referral: S$5 of Makan Rescue credit for each qualified friend you refer, up to a maximum of 5 rewarded friend referrals per person.
• Business referral (by a user): S$20 of Makan Rescue credit for each qualified food business you refer, with no limit on the number of business referrals.
• Business-to-business referral: a food business that refers another food business earns S$20, paid to the payout destination saved in the merchant app after our review.

About Makan Rescue credit

• Credit is applied automatically to your next orders at checkout, before any payment.
• Credit expires 3 months after it is earned; expired credit is not restored.
• Credit has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged, and is void where prohibited. Your balance and its history are shown in the app.
• If an order paid partly with credit is refunded, the credit portion is returned as credit.

When a referral qualifies

• A friend referral qualifies when the referred friend completes their first purchase and collects it from the store.
• A business referral qualifies when the referred business is approved, goes live on Makan Rescue, and makes its first sale through the platform.
• A business-to-business referral qualifies when the referred business is approved, live, and actively listing rescue bags.

The referral code must be entered when the referred person creates their account. Codes cannot be added, changed or swapped afterwards, and only the first valid code counts. We may require verification (for example a verified Singapore mobile number) before rewards are issued.

How long the promotion runs

The promotion ends automatically once 100 merchants are live on Makan Rescue. Referrals that have not qualified by then earn no reward. We may also amend or end the programme earlier for legal or operational reasons; rewards already qualified are honoured.

Business-to-business payouts

Business-to-business rewards are reviewed by us and, once approved, paid manually to the payout destination the referring business saved in the merchant app. Payment timing depends on our review; there is no interest or substitute for a reward.

Fair play

Self-referrals, fake accounts, and any referral we reasonably consider fraudulent or abusive may be rejected at our discretion, and related rewards or credit withheld or reversed. Accounts involved in abuse may be suspended.

Your payout details (PDPA)

Friend and user-to-business rewards are credited in the app, so we collect no payment details from users for referrals. For business-to-business rewards we collect the payout destination only to pay the reward. It is stored encrypted, never shared for any other purpose, and deleted on request: write to our Data Protection Officer at dpo@makanrescue.sg. Our privacy policy applies.
